Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, expressed his pride in the university’s male and female students, who achieved a historic scene in their love for Egypt with the massive and unprecedented turnout and voting in the presidential elections, which amounted to approximately 50,000 male and female students.

This scene reflects the students’ awareness of the importance of participation stemming from their patriotic feeling and their understanding of the internal or external challenges facing us, and their strengthening of the foundations of the democratic system.

Al-Nomani led a huge march in the early hours of the morning of the third day of the presidential elections, starting from the new university headquarters, all the way to the polling stations in the new city of Sohag, accompanied by prof. Abdel Nasser Yassin and prof. Khaled Omran, vice presidents of the university, deans of faculties, members of the teaching staff, and the administrative staff and the students.

Al-Nomani extended his thanks and respect to the Egyptian judges supervising the committees, for facilitating the process of voting for students and quickly voting without any obstacles, in accordance with the correct law and the constitution, especially since the committees witnessed a large number of people, stressing that the participation of young people is the most prominent aspect of the 2024 presidential elections.
