Sohag University President Confirms that the Special Surgery Hospital is considered a Comprehensive Medical for the Governorates of Upper Egypt

Sohag University President Confirms that the Special Surgery Hospital is considered a Comprehensive Medical for the Governorates of Upper Egypt.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of the University, stressed that the establishment of the Hospital for Special Surgery (heart and chest surgery – brain and neurosurgery – orthopedic surgery) comes in light of the remarkable development witnessed by the health sector in recent years, and the interest of the political leadership in pumping large investments to establish and develop the largest number of hospitals in various governorates, adding that the Special Surgery Hospital constitutes a comprehensive medical renaissance for the governorates of Upper Egypt, as it contributes to raising the health level of citizens and ensuring integrated medical coverage for all patients, which is consistent with the main principles of the National Human Rights Strategy.

 

 

 

In this regard, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani held a meeting to follow up the final preparations for receiving the Special Surgery Hospital project at the old university hospital, in the presence of Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Brigadier Khaled Halawa, representative of the National Company for General Contracting and Supplies, and Engineer Assem Fathi, Director of the Engineering Affairs Department at the university hospital.

Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi said that the meeting discussed the final preparations before receiving the Special Surgery Hospital building, during the next few days, explaining that the total cost of the hospital so far has reached 475 million pounds, as it was built architecturally at the highest level of precision to comply with international quality standards. Pointing out that the university president directed the rapid completion of all furnishing equipment for rooms and departments with medical and non-medical equipment, as well as the required furniture in administrative and service rooms
