Al-Nomani discusses Sohag University’s vision for the Economic Activities in the House of Representatives

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, participated in a discussion session held by the Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises Committee of the House of Representatives, on the proposal to establish new industrial zones that take into account the competitive advantage of Sohag Governorate to localize industry and replace imports, in cooperation between the governorate, the university, the Enterprise Development Authority and the General Authority for Industrial Development in the presence of Major General Tariq Al-Fiqi, Governor of the Region, and Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs at the University.

Al-Numani stressed that the university is a distinguished house of expertise and a beacon of science and culture because it possesses distinguished scientists and researchers capable of leading the wheel of development in all fields, adding that the university provides many engineering consultations in most of the major projects that are implemented within the governorate, through the university’s Center for Engineering Consultation and Development Services. , which is concerned with providing innovative, high-quality engineering services in various engineering science disciplines to serve and develop society, through the engineering and academic expertise of staff members.

In addition, there are 14 staff members at the university who work as consultants in the governorate in various fields for free.

Al-Numani added that during the meeting, the university’s vision for establishing industrial zones in the governorate and the extent of the possibility of benefiting from scientific projects and research in them were discussed, noting that the field of scientific research witnessed a distinct boom at the university, which came as a result of interest in research laboratories and their development, modernization of scientific equipment, and provision of scientific research requirements for the staff members in addition to improving the information infrastructure and communications technology at the university, adding that the committee will be provided with scientific research and projects to benefit from them in establishing new industrial zones.
